You start in Amboseli with Kilimanjaro on the horizon, cross the lava flows and springs of Tsavo West, track the famous red elephants of Tsavo East, then trade the 4×4 for the Indian Ocean at Diani. It suits first-time visitors, families, couples and photographers who want wildlife and a proper beach break in one trip. You return to Nairobi on the SGR train.
Nairobi to Amboseli
A 4–5 hour drive south to Amboseli, arriving in time for your first views of Kilimanjaro at sunset. Overnight at Sentrim Amboseli Lodge or similar.
A full day in Amboseli
Sunrise game drive among Amboseli’s large elephant herds, time at the pool or on a nature walk, then an afternoon drive or a visit to a Maasai village.
Amboseli to Tsavo West
A 3-hour drive to Tsavo West, then an afternoon exploring the crystal-clear Mzima Springs and the black Shetani lava flows. Overnight at Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge or similar.
Tsavo West to Tsavo East
Game viewing on the way to Tsavo East, home of the red-dust elephants, followed by an afternoon drive. Overnight at Voi Wildlife Lodge or similar.
A full day in Tsavo East
Morning game drive, then choose between a nature walk, Lugard Falls or Aruba Dam, with an afternoon drive or time to rest at the lodge.
Tsavo East to Diani Beach
One last morning game drive, then the road to the coast. You arrive at Diani in the evening. Overnight at Baobab Beach Resort & Spa or similar.

A slow day on one of Africa’s best beaches, with an optional camel ride along the shore.
Diani Beach
A free day to swim, relax or book a spa treatment and water sports at the resort.
Wasini Island & Kisite Marine Park
A full-day dhow trip to Kisite–Mpunguti Marine Park for dolphin spotting and snorkelling, a walk through a Wasini village and a Swahili seafood lunch.
Diani to Nairobi by train
Transfer to the Mombasa SGR terminal for the 08:00 train, arriving in Nairobi in the afternoon for a drop-off at your hotel or the airport.
