A full day searching for black-maned lions across the savannah and riverine forest of the Mara River, with a picnic lunch in the reserve.
Maasai Mara to Lake Nakuru
Transfer to Lake Nakuru, lunch and rest, then an afternoon game drive for flamingos, Rothschild’s giraffe and, with luck, leopards. Overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge.
Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha
A boat ride among hippos and birdlife, followed by a guided walking safari on Crescent Island. Overnight at Lake Naivasha Resort.
Lake Naivasha to Amboseli
Transfer via Nairobi to Amboseli, with Kilimanjaro views from the lodge. Overnight at Kibo Safari Camp or similar.
A full day in Amboseli
Game drives across the savannah among Amboseli’s elephant herds, with Kilimanjaro rising behind them on clear days.
Amboseli to Nairobi
An early-morning game drive and breakfast, then the drive back to Nairobi, arriving in the evening.
